SEISA 2017 Great Oaks Berth Request

Directions for 2017 SEISA District Great Oaks Berth Request:

SEISA schools wishing to request a berth for the Great Oaks Regatta 2017 please send an email request no later than Oct 30, 2017 to Joann Willits at ( Please include:

  1. Team Name
  2. Location of school
  3. The SEISA Regatta your team participated in over past year, including location and approx. dates
  4. Name of Adult Administrator registered with SEISA for Team
  5. Name & contact info of adult contact for Great Oaks entry purposes, if different from Team Admin
  6. If the team has participated in Mallory or Baker over the past 4 years, please include the names of sailors who plan to participate in Great Oaks.

SEISA has 13 berths allocated for the 2017 Great Oaks Regatta. There are usually a few berths that remain open from other districts as well; all extra berths will be assigned to SEISA teams first. We have never had to turn away a SEISA team for lack of space. You should be notified of receipt of the Request email within 2 days of sending and again on or about Nov 1, 2017 as to whether your team has been granted a berth. SEISA entries are due to Yvonne ( by email on Nov. 4, 2017. Entry forms are available on the ISSA site.

All active SEISA teams may apply for a berth in the Great Oaks Regatta. The SEISA teams that have competed in the Mallory or Baker events over the past 4 years competitor’s may not have sailed in these events and must approved by the District President.  Per SEISA District Rule 8.8, SEISA teams sailing in Great Oaks 2017 must have competed in at least 1 SEISA Regatta during the current calendar year (Fall/Spring of 2017) prior to Great Oaks 2017.
