Five races sailed Saturday in 13-20kts of southerly breeze. Sea state was agitated with 2-4 foot waves. Air temperature was 72 degrees. Course was windward leeward with an offset mark, one mile in length. Average race was 15 minutes long. Racing was in collegiate 420's.
A leeward mark incident in the first race resulted in the only protest of regatta. It was resolved in an expedited hearing on the water with no additional penalties.
Challenging conditions led to muliple capsizes, but very close racing among the leaders.
Sunday conditions were from the NW at 17kts with gusts of 30 following a cold front that arrived early morning. Racing was postponed for conditions and abandoned at 11:30 when the breeze increased.
