Awesome Season End

2018 Baker Team Race Champs Photos

As the High School Sailing Season winds to a close we take this opportunity to congratulate PCISA School - Point Loma High for dominating the Spring post season by winning BOTH the ISSA Mallory Dinghy and ISSA Baker Team Racing National Championships. Capping even that with a 17-0 (No Loss) record in the Baker Team Racing Nationals this past weekend at San Diego Yacht Club.

This means that PCISA Teams won three of the four ISSA National Championships this year (Newport Harbor winning the Cressy Full Rig in Fall).

It should be noted that all PCISA Teams performed well at the ISSA Nationals with Francis Parker finishing 2nd at the Mallory, CDM finishing 5th at both the Baker and Mallory and Newport Harbor finishing 12th at the Mallory. As we know strong teams come from lots of hard work and great competition all season. All PCISA Teams should take pride in being a part of developing a healthy, fun and strongly competitive District. Hopefully you've been able to watch the incredible performances of dozens of our Alumni at the College Nationals this past 10 days and culminating today (www.collegesailing.org).

Also a huge thanks to San Diego Yacht Club and Event Chairman Steve Harris along with many SDYC, PCISA, ISSA, Umpires and parent volunteers for hosting an awesome ISSA Baker Team Racing National Championship. See pictures at the link below:

Our new PCISA CFJ Sails have arrived and were used for the first time at the Baker Event last weekend. We still have some of the old sails available for sale. For more information and to purchase go to:

And finally we would like to thank the PCISA Board and volunteers for all of their thousands of hours of hard work to make this all happen. The 2018-19 PCISA Calendar of Events will be published (its been circulating the hosts) in the next few days and by June 15 we will take a hiatus from High School Sailing until about August 15th.
